This is an IH service manual on IH magnetos. This manual was printed by the IH company the for a 3rd time in 1971 from the 1947 printing. It contains the same "Blue Ribbon Service" information along with excellant text and illustrations as the original from the 1930's. Over the years the IH company has changed the front cover several times. It is now just gray and white as in the first picture. The last picture shows it as it was 20 years ago in white, red and gray. They dropped the big word "Magneto" off the front cover. Now it just reads "Mangeto Service Manual" in small print. This manual is the same IH Blue Ribbon Service Manual on Magnetos that the IH service departments used in the 1930's & 1940's. When the IH mechanics went for training, this is the service manual they were given to study with and keep. It covers the IH - F4, F6, E4A, H4, H1, the WICO AH, EK, AP, and Aero Splitdorf magnetos. The manual has 78 pages with 153 illustrations. The illustrations include cut-away views which are excellent and many actual photos. It gives complete dissassembly and testing procedures. Magneto operation, tools used for servicing & testing, specifications such as CW & CCW rotation markings are all covered in this manual. I could go on farther telling you about the information in this manual but there is too much to mention. If you are a magneto rebuilder or want to rebuild a magneto this is the manual you will want and need. It is the best manual containing the most comprehensive material "IH" on magnetos.
