Subject: 1950 john deere b with cult.
Folks looking for a nice trctor to show or work with? This is a 1950 John Deere B (serial number 265441) that I bought from a farmer who used it to only cultivate corn for the last 26 years. The tractor shows very little wear and runs out great. The tractor has new paint(couple small runs),decals, seat, steering wheel, exhaust, oil and filter.and new rear tires.Front are good. All the lights work, has the PTO shield, clam shell fenders, and all gauges work. The cultivator has new black teeth. It is a hydralic lift cultivator with the quick attach. It hooks up or unhooks easy. The clutch (new clutch brake) and brakes are all good. The gas tank was taken off and sealed with a liner. It also has a drawbar that is round not oblong showing it has little wear. All the grease zirks took grease like they should. The cultivator (model 217) is set up for 38 or 40 inch rows.Again folks if your looking for a nice tractor to work with or to show this would be one to have.Must be picked up at our shop in LaValle,Wisconsin. Will hold for 90 days if paid for. Thanks
Folks I have had alot of questions on this John Deere.A couple more things I remembered. There are a couple of rust threw holes on the small ribs that support the fenders. Also the frame was cracked and welded (nice job)by the spark plug holes which was common with these B's.I honestly thought this tractor would be sold by now.It is a nice one with no leaks,no smoke,no noise in transmission or rear end.Starts easy and every thing seems to be tight. The cultivator works by stepping on a pedal by the battery box and it lift hydralicly.Step on it again and it drops down.Ask any question. Thanks
