John Deere 1951 Late Model B vintage tractor. Serial # 290370. Low Reserve. This tractor will make a great restoration project, not much work and it’s ready for painting. Engine starts good and has very good oil pressure. This is one of the smoothest running JD engines I’ve ever heard. Good tin, Hood has NOT been cut, please look at the pictures. Paint is in aged condition. Powertrol system. Front tires are new (have mud on them because I drove from barn to trailer, less than 100 feet} and I painted the rims while off. Rear tires 50% and cracked but hold air. New seat and seat back. New starter cable and battery ground cable. Some new rubber hoses. 6 speed transmission. 6 volt system. Carburetor was removed, cleaned and reinstalled. I replaced a cracked manifold so there is new head gasket and tappet cover gasket. Generator is missing but mount and belt are there. Oil and anti-freeze changed Apr, 2007. No oil leaks which is rare for a tractor this old. Rear rims good shape, no stem rust. Brakes work good but are stiff. Rollamatic front end. Lights do not work. Battery is one year old. Has remote hydraulics. PTO works. Local pick-up only. I will haul for $1.25 per loaded mile, limited to 300 miles, minimum charge of $50.00. |
