Here we have a 1947 model International I-6 Industrial tractor with older restoration that has been sitting out since my barn is full. The tractor starts and runs good at low idle and doesn't smoke etc...but when you crank on the throttle it seems like it tries to wind up then starves for fuel...I had taken the carb off because the float was sticking an messed around with that, but never could get it to run right yet so I am making it stay out until it decides to behave or maybe sell it to someone with more patience or know how than me. I bought it to tractor pull with, but ended up getting into deeres instead and bought an 830 and a G, so if you like Farmalls here is chance to own a rare one with good sheet metal and a good motor that either needs carb work or maybe governer adjust...not sure. Tractor has fair-good tires all hold air 18.4 firestones on back and industrial truck type fronts... There is a crack or weld job on the frame which is visible...not sureif someone may have welded something o tractor at one time as it was used for industrial stuff and who knows what...The tractor will run and does make a small amount of noise in gears when crawling around which goes away with speed so may need some adjustment in rear if wanting to use for hard work...I am told the engine on the is the same as the w-6 ag version and the farmall M. |
