You are viewing an original John Deere brochure from 1927 for the John Deere One and Two Hole Hand Shellers. The number this piece is Series No.B69-Marseilles-1927. It is in good condition for it's age, measures 4" x 9" closed and opened up measures 9" x 16". The front cover shows two young men operating one of these shellers with a full bucket of corn underneath and a pile of corn cobs next to them. It gives all the information on the following: The One Hole Sheller whick is pictured and the Two Hole Hand Sheller which gives you pictures of both the crank side and the flywheel side. On the back is pictured the Two Hole as equipped with a sacking elevator. It gives the specifications for all and lists the Power Corn Shellers available also. On the last page when this is folded for mailing purposes there is a place to address it and the return address section is stamped W.L.L. Spencer Dealer in All Kinds of Farm Machinery Columbia, Conn Tel 133-4. Also listed on this same page is a complete list of John Deere Factories and what they make. And of course the literature does sport the old John Deere Deere logo. The outside edge does have some small chuncks of paper missing, but does not interfere with it's readability. When it is opened up fully there are some of the folds which are torn. Even though it is not a perfect piece i am sure there are not too many of these around, so i am sure someone would like to ad this to their John Deere History Collection. |
